I know there has been a lot of discussion about the newer TBirds not being compatible but the only explicit warning I can find on TuneECU's website is for the Commander and the LT.

Has anyone actually tried connecting a 2014/2015 TBird/Storm?

Thanks.

You can email alian (sp?) at tune ecu and he may respond. But i wouldn't chance it till you know 100% either way. I can't imagine they would use a unlocked version on the regular birds but not the commander and lt. Sounds suspicious.

Good idea. The reason I'm asking is I plan to install a Meerkat bypass and load Mark's tune if possible.

Thanks.

Well, if you can do it, try NAH's tune too. It does eat a lot more fuel but it also hauls freakin ass a lot better.

Will do. Meanwhile let's see if Alain gets back to me.

I know of a guy on the 'Triumph Cruisers Australia' facebook page that has used TuneECU to apply a map to his 2015 Storm.

I'm about to do mine (2015 Storm) this weekend.

Thanks Jason, let us know how it goes.

I never heard from Alain so any information would be great.

G'day mate.

Knocked off from work early today so got the job done. Can confirm that I hooked up TuneECU with a cable from LonElec to my 2015 Storm and read the stock map, saved it to hard drive, then loaded up a new map.

No problems at all, yet to take it for a ride, just finished the reset adaption.

Cheers.

Nice one!

I take it you used the Windows version, right? Anything to be aware of? I read on the website that you are supposed to connect a car battery to guard against possible voltage drop. Did you?

Cheers!

Hey mate, yes Windows version, I didn't connect a car battery or battery tender, just made sure the bike battery was fully charged and pulled both fuses for the headlights.

It was quite easy really.

Cool...off to order the cable. And a Meerkat crossover.

Have 2014 Storm owners used the OBDII and TuneECU with success?
I use it on my Sprint but was told that 2014 Storms had the locked ECU.

Funny, I don't remember being absent-minded.

Hi,

I haven't ordered the cable yet but will do soon. The only definitive answer I have found to this question (well, later T'Bird models) is what Jason relayed above. He is specifically talking about 15MY, and mine is 15MY too, but I doubt they would make 14MY an exception.
